I'm a bantam with a booming voice!
Rose, Blanche, Dorothy, Sophia and I were all rescued from the same backyard breeder. Our former owner had facilities that were designed for larger chickens, which were not safe for us since we are much smaller. We are what is often referred to as bantam-sized, meaning that we are smaller than standard chicken breeds. Also, Polish chickens like me are known for being escape artists who are excellent jumpers. As a result, we were able to easily escape our prior owner’s facilities.
This was really dangerous because we would escape and go into the neighboring properties, which were full of dogs and cats. Thankfully, we were re-homed to Heritage Haven. Here, I use my beautiful booming voice to keep my flock on schedule. You might be surprised at the big voice that comes out of this bantam-sized body! I will happily tell anyone who will listen how happy I am to be safe and secure here at Heritage Haven!
