Monet’s journey began in heartbreak. She was found in a homeless encampment where she was being bred. While she was pregnant, Monet was hit by a car. As a result, Monet lost her puppies and the use of her hind legs. When rescuers discovered her, she was dragging her paralyzed back legs through dirt and broken glass.
Thanks to DR Doghouse Bully Crew Rescue, Monet finally received the medical care and love that she had been missing. They lovingly cared for her for months, helping her heal and rediscover joy. But when their co-founder was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to begin chemotherapy, the search for Monet’s forever home became urgent.
Monet came to Heritage Haven in August 2025. She quickly adapted to ranch life. She loves to get into her wheelchair and visit the cows. She has also become the MVP of fetch.
